 तातो  माता  बन्धुर्न दाता  पुत्रो  पुत्री  भृत्यो  भर्ता ।
 जाया  विद्या  वृत्तिर्ममैव गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥१॥

na tato na mata na bandhurna databn na putro na putri na bhrityo na bharta |
na jaya na vidya na vrittirmamaiva gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani ||1|||

(O Bhavani!) Neither the Father Nor the Mother,
Neither the Friend Nor the Donor
Neither the Son Nor the Daughter
Neither the Servant, Nor the Master
Neither the Wife (Nor Husband)
Neither the Knowledge Nor the Profession are mine
You are my refuge, You alone are my shelter,
O Mother Bhavani. ||1||

भवाब्धावपारे महादुःखभीरु पपात प्रकामी प्रलोभी प्रमत्तः ।
कुसंसारपाशप्रबद्धः सदाहं गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥२॥

bhavabdhavapare mahaduhkhabhiru papata prakami pralobhi pramattah |
kusansarapashaprabaddhah sadaham gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani ||2||

(O Bhavani!) I am deeply afflicted by this wordly existence
I am fearful of this worldly suffering
I am always tied by desires and greed of this worldly existence
You are my refuge, You alone are my shelter,
O Mother Bhavani. ||2||

 जानामि दानं   ध्यानयोगं  जानामि तन्त्रं   स्तोत्रमन्त्रम् ।
 जानामि पूजां   न्यासयोगं गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥३॥

na janami danam na cha dhyan-yogam na janami tantram na cha stotra-mantram
na janami pujam na cha nyasa-yogam gatistvam tvameka bhavani ||3||

(O Bhavani!) Neither I know charity nor do I know path of meditation
Neither I know Tantra(Ritualistic Worship) nor hymns and mantras
Neither I know activities of worship and nyasa
You are my refuge, You alone are my shelter,
O Mother Bhavani. ||3||

 जानामि पुण्यं  जानामि तीर्थ  जानामि मुक्तिं लयं वा कदाचित् ।
 जानामि भक्तिं व्रतं वापि मातर्गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥४॥

na janami punyam na janami tirtham, na janami muktim layam va kadachit
na janami bhaktim vratam vapi mata-r-gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani|4||

(O Bhavani!) Neither I know good deeds nor I know places of pilgrimage
Neither I know method to attain Salvation
Neither do I know devotion, nor do I have religious vows
You are my refuge, You alone are my shelter,
O Mother Bhavani. ||4||

कुकर्मी कुसङ्गी कुबुद्धिः कुदासः कुलाचारहीनः कदाचारलीनः ।
कुदृष्टिः कुवाक्यप्रबन्धः सदाहं गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥५॥

kukarmi kusangi kubuddhi kudasa kulachara-hina kadachar-linah
kudrishti kuvakya prabandha sadaham gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani ||5||

(O Mother Bhavani!) I have performed bad actions, I have been associated with bad company
I have been bad servant, I have spoken bad words
I did not performed my family duities and always engaged in bad conducts
(Save me O mother) You are alone my shelter, You are alone my shelter,
O Mother Bhavani. ||5||

प्रजेशं रमेशं महेशं सुरेशं दिनेशं निशीथेश्वरं वा कदाचित् ।
 जानामि चान्यत् सदाहं शरण्ये गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥६॥

prajesham ramesham mahesham suresham dinesham nishithesvaram va kadachit
na janami chanyat sadaham saranye gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani ||6||

(O Mother Bhavani!) I do not know about Brahma, Shiva, Rama, Indra, Surya and Chandra
I do not know about other gods always asking for your shelter
You are my refuge, You alone are my shelter,
O Mother Bhavani. ||6||

विवादे विषादे प्रमादे प्रवासे जले चानले पर्वते शत्रुमध्ये ।
अरण्ये शरण्ये सदा मां प्रपाहि गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥७॥

vivade vishade pramade pravashe jale chanale parvate shatru madhye
aranye sharanye sada mam prapahi gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani ||7||

During debates, sadness, intoxicated by worldly desires, in foreign land
In water, fire, mountain and surrounded by enemies, In Forest
Please protect me,
(Because O Mother) You are my refuge,
You alone are my shelter, O Mother Bhavani. ||7||

अनाथो दरिद्रो जरारोगयुक्तो महाक्षीणदीनः सदा जाड्यवक्त्रः ।
विपत्तौ प्रविष्टः प्रनष्टः सदाहं गतिस्त्वं गतिस्त्वं त्वमेका भवानि ॥८॥

anatho daridro jara-rog-yukto maha-kshina dinha sada jadya vaktrah
vipatau-pravistha-pranastha- sadaham gatistvam gatistvam tvameka bhavani||8||

I have always been helpless, poor afflicted by diseases,
very weak and always ill, fallen,
trapped always by miseries and troubles,
(Save me O mother) You are alone my shelter, You are alone my shelter,
